Dec 20, 6: There was one little hitch on installation- it seems that the Tibook was still trying to use the original airport card. I un-installed the driver from Belkin and re-installed the driver I downloaded from Ralink and the F5D resumed normal working. Which is annoying as I have two of the things. I realized immediately that the driver is not suitable for Tiger when the LEDs on the card did not light during the system reload and then it crashed OSX so badly that it needed four power button restarts.

Belkin Wireless Network Card F5D Just thought I’d share my experience ff5d7010 this card for those interested in a wireless pc card option. The v uses a Ralink set. I found a website that tells you which third party wireless notebook cards work with Mac OS X.
I downloaded a driver from Belkin and the one from Ralink they turned out to mc both the same thing with a little bit of window dressing to tell them apart. A new Airport option will automatically appear- check the box, click Apply Now, and you’re all set.
Got the mac driver from Belkin: I dread doing an entire OS restore, something goes wrong every time. The F5D card then appeared as a new network device.
